I just started taking Adderall, is there any types of cold medications I should avoid? I know that I can't use the Alka-seltzer kinds.

Check on the information sheet that came with the meds and also call your pharmacist. I believe there are quite a few cold medicines you can't take.

Def call the doc or the pharmacist. My poor pharmacist has had to listen to me everytime I get a sniffle, a headache, concerning my vyvanse, and every other drug I've ever been prescribed. But it's part of their job to help us to avoid drug interactions.

My pharmacist said nothing with the phenylprine decongestant in it for me, and advised me to only take the reg pseudophed at the lowest strength (30 mg) with the vyvanse and to not use the long acting/time released kinds in case there was a problem, as that one would get out of my system more quickly.
