Stranger 03-18-04, 11:51 AM Atomoxetine HCl is better known as strattera, and it is not a stimulant--in fact it is the only non-stimulant licensed for treating AD/HD. It is my understanding that it failed clinical trials as an antidepressant, but its effects on those people in the study who had AD/HD was noted, and it was tried for that. Gregster 03-18-04, 01:21 PM Quite right Stranger, Specifically Strattera is a selective noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor. It works in some people and not in others. If it works for you, you may or may not need to take a stimulant as well - it depends on the person. Regards, Greg |
