Has anyone else had issues with Adderall and emotional/sexual side effects?

As if everything wasn't already ridiculous in my so-called life, I feel on the verge of tears all of the time. Also, I have absolutely no desire for intimate relations. I am ok with snuggling, but don't want to go any further.

AAAAUUUGH!!

Am still taking 10mg of the old-style adderall 2x a day.

And I am still having to force myself to eat. I've lost 10lbs.:(

I think I'm having the emotional side effects... I'm newly on Adderall XR 10mg, and I burst into tears yesterday when my husband killed a spider in our kitchen. Like, sobbing tears. And I had no idea why I was crying, really. ...Although it might just have been really bad PMS. Who knows.

I've been on adderall for 8 days now. I noticed some moodiness last night but this morning was pretty intense. It seems to be gone for now and faded shortly after taking my pill. Either the med helped or I just got too busy to care about the things that made me moody earlier. This is my first severe mood swing since I started. I hope it doesn't continue.

I'm male, but yes I've had mood swings when I first started adderall. Give it time, and should get better.

That said, some insight: When I first started add/adhd medication (Concerta) it felt like I had woken up after being asleep for years. All of the sudden I had a burning desire to face and resolve relationship and financial problems I had previously been able to blissfully ignore. You may be seeing (at least unconsciously) serious issues for the first time, and the symptoms of this "awakening" are being manifested as mood swings, lack of desire, weird emotions, etc.

Food for thought.

Thanks so much for posting this...I was just about to post that all the sudden for no reason at all I felt like crying. This is REALLY not like me....so its good to hear this may just be initial side effects....
