I did really well on my first day on adderall....and today even less side effects. I slept wonderful also. Question is...tonight about 8/9 hrs after taking the XR 10mg (my second day only) I am really sleepy and sore...is this normal? is this the "crash" i have read about? Im just hoping this doesnt continue to happen...im beat. However, I do have to say that I (still have to start things on my own) have gotten TONS done in two days here at my home because they actually got FINISHED for once...I have always been really bad with multiple things being done at once but nothing ever getting FINISHED in a timely manner. So that is one great thing I notice already ;-)
Hi! I've only been on for about a week, so I don't know too much more than you do... but I know for the first couple of days my back muscles were sore and crampy, but that went away. Also, the tired "crash" feeling, while still there, has lessened considerably for me. I also find that I am sleeping better on the Adderall than I was before I took it. Go figure. :) Oh, and I am on 10mg XR as well.

Hi Veggymel,
I'm relatively new to adderall XR too (I used to just take L-tyrosine and other "natural" drugs for my ADD) and yeah... my legs and hands are pretty sore. I just chalk it up to all of the walking and activities that I've been doing since I started taking it. I was pretty much a sedentary couch potato before. I've also noticed that after I take it in the morning I feel like sh*t for the next hour and a half, and then the drug "levels off" about 2 hours after taking it. Then I'm usually feeling pretty good and productive for the rest of the daylight hours. I don't feel like talking to people as much as I normally do and my emotional connectivity to others seems deminished, but I get a lot of work done. When evening comes though, around 8pm, I'm usually feeling pretty tired and beat-up, like I just ran a marathon. I was taking 20mg and recently reduced it to 15mg because I don't like the "feeling" of the drug in my system. It's not as effective at the lower dose, but I don't feel AS horrible right after I take it. I want to be upbeat about the Adderall because it definitely would be awesome to find a miracle pill to treat my ADD, but the jury is still out. I don't know if my particular side effects will go away or not, but here's to hoping! ;)
Amphetamines cause muscle pain. This is normal. The sleepiness, for me, is usually from me being at 100% all day and when the XR wears off, my body has to catch up with itself. :)

Thanks...after a few more days of this I have figured the same. Since Im doing so much more and not a complete couch potatoe anymore as well...that in itself is great!
