7 years ago I was in college. My doctor told me I looked stress. He gave me 0.5 mg twice a day of lorazapam to help ease the stress. I asked him if it was habit forming and he told me no. I agreed to take it and it worked well. That doctor retired and had to go to the clinic to geg refills. Finally 6 years later I get a family doctor (major shortage in Ontario)

My new doctor wants me off lorazapam so puts me on 37.5 mg of effexor. It didn't do much for me and I was still taking lorazapam. She upped my dosage to 75 mg and it made me sleep too much so I dropped it back down to 37.5 mg. Today she decided I need to get off both effexor and lorazapam.

I am suppose to take effexor once every three days now for about a wee:rolleyes:. I am then suppose to take it once every four days for another week then take 150 mg daily after that.

Is this going to work? I wish my first doctor never gave me lorazapam because I did not have anxiety but it created anxiety in me.
Effexor makes me have no emotion what so ever so wonder what the newest drug wellbutrin is going to do to me.

So do you have an actual anxiety problem, or not? Do you have depression? It's unclear what your actual symptoms are.

Wellbutrin is not going to ease anxiety in most people, and might actually cause more, but overall it's a great antidepressant.
