I am taking Amphetamine 10mg SC Tab BARR
Does the generic differ any from the brand name? I figured that the reason it is generic is that it uses the same chemical formula of the brand name.

it's ... yes, the same, but at the same time it isn't.
from what i understand, it's just not 'as good'. some will even argue that certain generics produce less effect than other generics.
my opinion: depends on the person. at face value, i'm sure the formulas are the same - but perhaps the chemicals that bind the pill together cause certain effects that reduce or improve the absorption of the product.
i hope that makes sense. i'm on a barr generic 10mg and i couldn't tell you what anything else is like. but i can tell you that 10mg of this stuff isn't enough, for me at least, to feel the full effects. (i still can't decide if it's placebo effect or not, and i'm sure people with the right dose don't have a hard time figuring that one out.) it could be the generic or it could be my body.
it's sort of a hit or miss for each individual.

well the barr seems to be working good I have steady focus don't feel anything but I can focus so I know it is working.
Its nice and steady don't have any ups or downs yet. Because I know when I have taken previous meds for the effect and felt something, felt the energy and stuff, I always came down from that feeling and it sucked.
So guess not feeling anything and being more focused is better because I have no where to come down from.
This link suggests that Adderall IR produced by Barr should be using the Shire formulation starting in late 2006:

So your "generic" from Barr is actually "Brand Name" stuff. So, I'd be thankful, some others have used a different generic and swear that "Barr" is the best! See this link:
