I've been taking for a while now what I assumed to be Adderall, and just today I noticed that the bottle read D-Amphetamine. I don't know much about this, but isn't D-Amphetamine Dexedrine? Could the pharmacist have made a mistake? I know that Adderall is 75% Dexedrine, so maybe they just listed the primary component?

BTW it was manufactured by Corepharma (?)

Adderall is a mix of amphetamine "salts", including Dexedrine.

The pharmacist probably did NOT make a mistake. It's more likely you either misheard your doctor or your doc just said Adderall so you'd be more familiar with the drug.

The reason I don't think it's the pharmacist's mistake is because they are trained really heavily to not make mistakes and that's why it takes like 20 minutes to fill out a damn prescription. Moreover they would get sued up the a** if they filled the wrong prescription or something.

Oh yeah, nevermind, I looked it up on Wikipedia and re-read my bottle, and it seems that at this time of night, I failed to read the "salt combos" part behind "d-amphetamine". Lol I am off to get some sleep now :D

Specifically, Adderall XR has these active ingredients;<SUP> </SUP>1/4 dextroamphetamine saccharate,1/4 dextroamphetamine sulfate, 1/4 (racemin) dextro/levo-amphetamine) aspartate monohydrate,1/4 (racemic dextro/levo-amphetamine) sulfate.
Dextroamphetimine is Dexedrine so in reality Adderall is like taking a little bit of Dex.
