hello, I am male, 26 years old. Obviously, I am here because I have struggled with ADD my entire life. I have been getting treatment for it the past 4 years, and my life has drastically changed. I am a little "out" there, as in highly ambitious, and I believe in myself sometimes a little too much.

I live in Costa Rica. one day I just got on a plane and came here haha. Basically, thats the story with that. I did not plan whatsoever, i brought 2 weeks of clothes and just came here. I wasnt planning on staying here, but only staying for 2 weeks and coming home, but I decided to stay for a while. I have been here for almost 11 months.

I have felt "different" my entire life. It has been hard to accept. Recently, I have been thinking a lot about coming back to the USA and getting active with a Non Profit group for ADHD awareness. I would really like to get active with people that understand how it is to experience this. I would like to talk to people that understand how it feels to suddently realize your out of medicine, and you function at less than 50% until you get that refill.

Maybe a few people could reply to my post, and maybe we could talk a little on instant messenger. I get a little lonely in Costa Rica, and it would be nice to talk to some people in the 1st world.

my interests are politics, philosophy, business, boxing, physical activities, meditation, buddhism, space colonization!

South Africa!? thats awesome, I have read some about south africa and am very interested in traveling there one day. it would be better if I rephrased what I said, I did not mean "1st world" a better thing to have said would have been people who know what Im talking about. I would love to goto South African someday.

hello, thank you. I have actually been here quite a few times, but I have typically never stayed around for very long because in the past I have more of less tried to avoid this topic. Like I have mentioned in my earlier post, I think I am ready to accept and begin embracing this characteristic about myself. I just dont know how, and I want to be apart of something.

does anyone want to talk on messenger? yahoo, AIM, windows live?

Hey Ferdinan!!!
Im a new member here and im looking forward to talking to positive people too!!! Hopefully people who have more experience on treatments for ADD and positive outcomes of being this way, since I have recently been diagnosed. Im from bolivia (so you'll have to settle for a developing country citizen !! jeje) and this disorder is not something talked or known about..... so most of the time we are stereotyped as dazzed-off or even lazy ! When its not like that at all !! Nevertheless, Im working on not letting this or my way of seeing the world around me, stop me from acheiving my goals. Most importantly, finishing college and getting my degree!! Im a graphic design student, and my way of thinking is a plus!!! just need to learn how to control it a little better! jeje. Anyhow hope to here from others out there, who want to talk about anything or everything... jeje.

chau,
xime :)
