Anyone know of a good doctor in Savannah? The one I use is not very responsive. In other words he doesn't seem to give a s$&t. There's a thread I started in the Ritalin forum that adds a little background to this but I can't copy and paste a link (or anything else) on this website to save my life.

Try Dr William M.Furey Ph.D.

I had gone to him in the summer and he's pretty good.

He's in central park on eisenhower drive.

Hey Linus and welcome to Atlanta!
i was refered to the doctor at : Attention Disorders Center
146 Pierce Ave
Macon GA
phone: 478 746 2333
I know it is a long drive (about an hour from ATL) but it will be well worth it to see a specialist. The Doctor there got my meds straight and it changed my life! After i got the right meds, i changed to a doc up here and stuck with what was already prescribed. This has been a great approach for me and i have heard enough horror stories with meds to be very greatful i went to a specialist in the area of ADD.Email me back if you would like to get more info.
Good Luck!

In response to amjones7 - Dr. Edward Gotlieb is the best. He specializes in kids and teens with ADHD. He diagnosed me over 12 years ago and just tested my best friend's child. He works in the Decatur area with his wife. I highly reccomend him. Also, I attend a CHADD parent support group that meets in Dunwoody once a month. It is other parents with ADHD kids and they have special guest (Dr. Gotlieb spoke once) and cover certain topics each meeting. I do not have kids, but go with my friend and to speak with the parents about my experiences. Let me know if you want more info. Good luck!

Hi! I just visited ABC for the first time last week. I met with Dr. Kennedy. I was a bit turned off by the whole experience. The office is old and it seemed like they met with all sorts of behaivoral patients (some a little scary). The staff was pleasant, but the doctors I witnessed and the one I met with seemed less friendly than my previous doctors at other clinics. I had a hard time relaxing in the office and in front of my doctor. He prescribed me a new medication (which is why I went) but he did not seem interested in my past with ADHD or spend quality time with me. I don't think I will be returning there. I am currently looking for a new doctor in the Smyrna/Atlanta area if anyone has any suggestions.

Good luck!
