I saw a brown fuzzy poodle outside yesterday, it looked like he had only three legs (do dogs realize these things themselves? or are they ok with that?); but it was just the angle, he actually had four legs, so I was really happy for him.

I thought I saw my "pink slip" on my bosses desk. I was so fixated by it..turned out to be something she purchased. I was about to pop a Klonopin!! :) addr68:cool:

If I start a scarf for my son what are the chances that I will finish it...maybe I'll try anyways...hmmm, what color would he wear....and on and on and on and on...

wait here's another one: i had just gotten off the metro and I saw one black addidas shoe, in good condition; (now how did that get there? did it fall out of a backpack or something? some guy was walking around paris with one shoe...?) in the meantime my husband was already up the stairs!

jeepers if this is what 'zoning out' is, i think i spent most of my life doing it!! Today: looking at a goldfish thinking about how its tail swishes in the water like chiffon.

while my co-worker was driving me to our seond studio and we were going over some plans...I saw cows in a field all muddy- and started wondering if they liked mud, if you could ride a cow like a horse, if you could get them to run while you were riding them, all this stuff about riding a cow was running through my mind.

I'm staring off pondering stuff like why we don't go flying off into space, the tectonic plates beneath us, our insignificance in the universe, how other animals (birds, bees, dogs, flies) perceive the world, is there reality or am I living in my own dream? In someone else's dream? Why our atoms, made largely of space, and are just energy trapped in endless motion don't simply blow to pieces and we cease to exists, why my sock lumps just started bothering me, where's my glasses, oh, I'm wearing my glasses, oh no, I didn't turn off my computer. Oh, maybe I did, but I probably left the window. Where's my cell phone? What life used to be without the internet. How life is for others in the world who can't afford to eat much more than mush and are suffering with Aids but evolution is slowly developing people resistant to HIV, why people insist on antibacterial soap when it creates super bugs, why doesn't the VW Bug come in an all electric version, what will electric bills be in 20 years, do bird bill have feelings, I'm feeling hungry, if I don't eat enough will I fly off into space, what is gravity for and why? Oh, I want to ride a bike, it's in the garage with my guitar. I still haven't returned the authentic 'vox beatles' guitar in my garage, I wonder if my amp still works, has iTunes ruined the 'album' experience that started with albums like Sargent Pepper and The Dark Side of the moon. What is it like on the dark side of the moon? If any creatures live there would we recognize them. Hey, there's someone I recognize from high school 40 years ago, no, wait, she looks 16. Ah, only 16 more days left to pay the tax bill. I once ran a consulting business where all of my client's names were Bill and my 5 year old daughter answered the phone, hung it up and said "Daddy, Bill Called!" before we had caller ID. What would the world be like if suddenly cell phones didn't exist. Why are there so many people living on the streets near were I work that have cell phones and who do they call, do they have facebook accounts? Is facebook cheapening the value of friends? I haven't called Dan, Marissa, Sarah, Elissa, Birgit, Mom, Sister for weeks. Can I set up a five way conference call? Should I set up a webcam for my dogs so I can watch them from work? Could I sell views of my dog's sleeping on YourTube, I'm tired, I wish this person would stop chatting, oh look, there's bird poo on that guy's boy she has great eyes, and I wonder why she looks so sad ... was she just laid off or ... hey, there's a Datsun 510 just like I used to have in college should I go get my PHD now that

there's this statue in the park; some kind of military memorial - a woman, it looks like she just beheaded someone. couldn't be - so what is she supposed to be holding in her hand?

50% of the time i'm thinking about people, trying to figure them out. If i'm in public like in class i'll be examining what they're wearing, probably fantasizing about a guy in the class who I think is cut, looking at my teacher weird knows or whatever makes them so special-cuz thhey always are. Then i'm thinking about things i want to do and never do them lol.

I have a picture of my mentor on the bulletin board in front of my desk...
I daze and look at it daily...
I stare at the way he holds the dictaphone, and the magnifying glass, looking at images, that ARE NOT digital...

I spend a lot of time staring at this pic..and wondering, what he is doing, and how wonderful it would have been to worked with him longer.

I zone out alot when I am washing dishes or doing something I don't like. I think about different things from, traveling, having that dream home, what bills are due. etc.

Was riding my motorcycle the other day... past this one house on a hill, which is the same house I always oogle at everytime I pass it by... As I ride by, I started thinking how nice it was on the outside.... How nice it would be to just walk up to the door and give them an offer for the house and would they accept or decline? They say everything is for sale at a price. Then on "War of the Roses", Kathleen Turner got her house by doing that. So what would happen if you just knocked on the door and asked to buy this home sight unseen? What if the owner accepted and you didn't like the layout? Would that be a deal breaker?

and on and on I went.... Until I snapped out of it realizing I was zoning out. Oops.

I forgot...zoning out and forgetting...I'm not accomplishing much xD
In my english class I read my book and then zone out. When I put down my book and the teacher starts talking I am all confuzzled. I got yelled at today in english too...I made an incisive sentence for the word, 'incisive' saying people with add or adhd can be incisive because of distractions. It was sort of our direct way to zone out even if we couldn't help it, we just do it...I hate english and my english teacher

I'm starting to realize i'm like that all day when I'm not taking my meds, well today was the first day being that I hadn't picked up my refill yet. I still get on here but i feel like i'm not so into looking at things or spending a long time replying. I tried to get myself to play my guitar, it's my only distraction from me annoyed that I can't reallly pay attention to anything else, and I have wasted about 2 hours? being distracted by this, even with my guitar sitting on my lap. What's worse is I probably could have done this much quicker had I been on meds. I've also noticed sometimes when i'm zoning out I'm like clicking through the little desktop signs or scrolling up and down on the start menu,but my mind just starts playing some kind of game and want to click randomly on them all. Happens on the cell phone too.

I've also actually started realizing more so on meds when I came out of a really long zoning out episode, and I'm hm? that was weird.

yesterday at lunch i was just staring at this ad for minute maid orange juice - of an orange peel somehow drawn like a person holding a tray. weird!

Electronic fidgeting?

I randomly resize windows, move them around, try to line them up, scroll them up or down, play with the mac menu and make it swell and shrink. I can do this for a few minutes w/o noticing. If I'm reading, I can go a few pages moving my eyes, recognizing words, but not really focusing. When I catch myself, I sometimes have no idea how I've been doing it and usually just close my macbook and walk my dogs. All worse when I'm off meds.

If you've ever read Crystal Singer books by Anne McCaffrey (https://www.fictionwise.com/eBooks/AnneMcCaffreyeBooks.htm), there are characters on a distant planet who 'mine' crystals by singing and listening for the crystals to resonate. Some singers go into a trance. "Lanzecki was one of those unfortunate singers who became so rapt by the song of the crystal they cut that they could be totally lost to the thrall. A partner was essential to such singers; they dared not sing crystal alone, or they risked never returning from the Ranges."

I'd be Lanzecki if I were a crystal singer.:o

Hey, if we were the types who "read all the words" every time this thread might not be here!

during a really interesting conversation saturday night I started thinking about what to wear this week!

I had a very well choregraphed fight scene. I won, was there really any doubt bout that?

I was on hold to place an order with a restaurant. When I asked to place the order, I didn't say it very clearly. I imagined that she thought I was asking for someone by the name of "Mortimer." When she came back on the phone, she was going to say, "There isn't anyone here named Mortimer!" I would then reply, "That's okay. I will just place an order instead."

When none of that happened, I was rather disappointed! It sounded so much more interesting. :p

I read this far and started picturing the window over there on the wall moving around! It was fun and I could totally see someone getting lost in imagining furniture and fixtures in different places.


Now you have ME imagining the windows in my room moving around. :D
