I believe water is the best place for ADD/ADHD people. It has a calming and a soothing effect when your life can be chaotic. I am a lifeguard and Swim Instructor, I have taught many people of all ages with ADD/ADHD that the water is the best form of fitness as a lifelong skill. Many of my students have seen success in areas:
competitive swimming, Synchronized Swimming, Jr. Lifeguard Club, Water Polo, Aquafit, and Lifeguarding courses/Lifesaving courses. Swimming enhances my creativity, vitality, and my inner spirit. I love healing people of many types in the water to reach their potential. People have euphoric feeling when they exercise in water and never leave feeling sore. So all of you put on your fins snorkel and mask and explore the programs at your local swimming pool. You don't have to be good swimmer to get wet, but the attitude to have fun!

Swimmingly,

Water is my medium, I swim like a mermaid. I grew up in Hawaii.
I always felt one with the ocean. I wish I didn't get so cold so easy, so that I could swim in the winter here. I take a lot of baths to keep my scales wet. I too always feel better after water exercise.

When I am not working in my pool, I visit my bath tub approximately 3 times a day. I really have this cool book on how to be creative in your tub. It is called magic baths, not kidding but true! When working you can never get me out of the water because I get in tune with the kids. People have often referred my mother and I as "Pool Queens" because we hang with the pool all day even days off. It keeps my ADHD behavior in check!
