I'm on Wellbutrin week 3 150 mg 2x per day after starting wk 1 100 mg per day and wk 2 2x 100 mg per day. I have combined ADHD with the inattentiveness causing me problems focusing, getting started, etc.. and with the hyperactive part I'm very restless and has led to substance abuse and gambling problems among other things. I want to know if Wellbutrin is working for you - by itself and not in combination with other meds - how is it making you feel and what adhd symptoms are being addressed.

I know it takes up to 4-6 weeks for full effects, and not everybody responds to it, but what should I expect if it is working? Less restlessness? Better focus? More drive and will to accomplish things? Etc... Right now, I don't think it's doing anything at all.

I added wellbutrin to celexa to help lose the 20 or so pounds I put on.
I started 100mgSR and in a day or two I felt a bit more clarity in thinking, improved visual acuity, focused while being relaxed. But no change in appetite.

When I went up to 200mgSR, the first day I felt more focused and less anxiety, and even more visual acuity. My appetite slowed down and I started losing weight.

The focus, clarity, and appetite effects remain while the visual acuity either went away or I got used to it.

It was after adding Wellbutrin that I started to expore ADD since wellbutrin often increases anxiety. (Beware: It also gave a friend of mine incredible short temper and road rage at a dose of 150SR.)

I'm almost a month on budeprion 150mg x 2/day.

At first I had big bouts of anxiety and noticeable stimulant effect, esp. with coffe/diet coke. That has subsided.

I still feel a minor stimulant effect which helps my focus. Everything seems to have leveled out some. The effects are more minor, hardly noticeable. But no big problems either. The anxiety has subsided.

I made it through a cold (and related medication). I've also had a couple of beers during the time with no problems.

I wish the positive effects were a little pronounced but here has been a positive effect none the less.
