Has anyone tried it? I just got the 5 mg tabs today and was wondering if anyone noticed a difference between the two of them.

Hi humis77,

I initially took Adderall, and then switched to generic, because it is cheaper. I get it in 10 mg tablets, which I like because they are scored and can be broken into halves and quarters. This is great for being able to really refine your dosage and to see what works best. It's been a while since I've been on the generic, and if I had any problems with it compared to the name brand, they weren't significant enough for me to remember what they are. I'm sticking with the generic! I hope this helps!

Hey! I don't know about generic, but I will soon...

I didn't really want to switch from brand to generic, not in finals period, but my pharmacy gave it to me anyway...I have the suspicion that it's all they had or it's all my insurance would approve...

*growls* Here's hoping it works.

When I was on Ritalin (20mgs) I tried generic and it felt like I was taking a different medication. (weaker)~
( Maybe that was due to my expectation that it WOULD be weaker :D )

i have taken brand name adderall for about 3 years now. once the generic came out my pharmacy filled my prescription with the generic. i generally have difficulties with any generic meds, but thought i would give it a try. i felt increased agitation and difficulty focusing on the generic. i went to the drs while taking the generic and my blood pressure was 150/90, so the dr wrote out a prescription for the brand name. so for me, the generic did not work well. best of luck.
