I'm seeing my GP tomorrow about me always being tired throughout the whole day and explaining the reasons for me taking huge doses of caffeine. What sorta things can a GP prescribe (in australia) ? Cause although im booked in to see some really good psychologist sometime in december i was thinking of explaining my ADHD (innatentive) symptoms to him As it would be nice to get something before my exams like some killer sleeping pills or something to wake me up in the morning and make me more alert through the day so i'm not so dopey and stupid all the time. Should I tell him my experience with ritalin?

I don't know if you should tell them or not, but good luck & let us know how it goes!

He gave me a script for edronax 4mg tablets. Which he says are a stimulant anti depressant. I see one a really good psychologist in december for any further things now.

edronax sounds a lot like strattera here in the states.

I'm inattentive & I like strattera a lot. it gives you a lot of mental energy.

it takes 3-4 weeks to get used to it though, so give it time.

Yeah, well he didnt really mention ADD or anything like that as my mum is fully denying it (my mum INSISTED to be there, but she did all the talking which got me prescribed something so im fine).

the edronax made me feel weird today, like i didnt actually know what it's supposed to do so im dismissing it as a placebo but i felt kinda floating and felt like i had control on what i said and when, it was really weird and really nice I know the effects take a few weeks to get into effect but i seriously felt these things - from half a pill of it.

my doctor also checked my heart rate and stuff and it was normal on a day that i'd had about 700mg of caffeine :)
