I've been on focalin xr at either 5mg-10mg a day and i find that it doesn't work very well for me, all it does is make me pretty tired and unmotivated and then after 4 hours i get a big headache and i feel muscle sores and slight nervousness. Do you think adderall would work better and since i've had an anxiety disorder over the summer but its not there as much as it was before, do you think adderall will aggravate that and if so is there anything else i can try?

You should ask - is Focalin for you?

That sounds like an over-sensitivity. Those aren't uncommon responses, but they are usually indicative of an adverse reaction.

Adderall indeed may work better. At a sufficiently low dose it shouldn't increase anxiety. Dexedrine may work even a bit better, but may not be as therapeutic in the area of motivation as adderall.

You really can't find out without trying, as these responses are individualistic.
