Probably time for a med vacation.

Use the time for a lot of physical exercise + good nutrition, and look into tolerance reversal strategies such as partial NMDA antagonists and/or supplements that give the body what it needs to build more dopamine (w/doctor approval, of course).

If/when you restart the meds, work hard to take the lowest possible dose needed to do what needs doing that day. Whenever circumstances permit you to feel a little "off," take advantage of it and don't take meds that day (again, subject to doctor consultation of course).

When all is said and done, your cleaver little mind is gong to be very black and blue.

There are joys to be found in this world, and within your own psyche, but you aren't going to be able tap into them with drugs while still avoiding the harshness of their aftermath.

If the world around you is too dismal, try to peer into the future a bit - a future where you will have more choices and more opportunities.

When you get to that future, wouldn't it be nice to be able to enjoy it?

This self-abuse is like "cutting" - eventually the cutting itself creates a desire to cut some more - because the process will make you hate yourself. Stop now. Get some help. There are friends in this world that you haven't met yet. Do it for them if you don't feel able to do it for yourself.

1.8 grams of adderall in over a month? What's wrong with that? 1800mg/35 = 51mg/day.
50 mg of adderall a day is normal. If you take three doses: 50/3 = 17mg of adderall each dose.

That's what I was thinking too, but my math sucks and I didn't want to embarrass myself if I was way off.

Even if it was just a month, you're still only talking 60 mg a day, which it seems a lot of people take.

Is there a backstory that would make this more alarming?

That's pretty steep. Just seems like a rather high daily dose, in my opinion.

I do agree that you should go on a "drug holiday." Even three or four days would be beneficial for both the benefits of the medication and your addiction.

Furthermore, try a dosage reduction for when you start up again. If you can get through even just three days off Adderall (with its addictive tendencies in mind), you probably wouldn't feel the effects of being on a lesser dose.

Ask your doctor, of course. :)

it's easy to want to take it 12 times a day but since you need it, you should try your best not to develop a big tolerance.
