View Full Version : Morning
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 10:06 AM Good morning my sunshiney lil lovelies.
There is something about a morning that goes smoothly and the ability to come home, after starting the kids, day to a cup of coffee and a clean house that gives me hope. Strange isn't it?
Good morning, sunshine :D
bnsforu2 03-24-04, 10:14 AM my grandma says art is her sanity. a picture on the wall soothing the savage beast and also grandma. :)
top of the day to ya and good morning.
Paul :)
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 10:15 AM Good morning to you, oh tall man of charm, good direction and gentle grin.
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 10:17 AM Paul love that statement, tell your grandmother shes wiser than most of us can hope to be. Art has been the very langiage that has kept me alaive at some bad times in my life, it has also allowed me to express that which was inexpressable to those who needed to hear it.
bnsforu2 03-24-04, 11:03 AM will do Chrissy! :)
think I will refer to this board and you when i have kids.
How many do you have?
Paul
apcpapergirl 03-24-04, 11:46 AM Good Morning Chrissy!
aquachick_3 03-24-04, 12:07 PM good morning to you all :D
Good Morning everyone!!! :D
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 12:33 PM paul I have three, a 17 year old son, a 14 year old daughter and a seven year old terrorist (female) She basically runs the joint but we dont let her know it.............I would lose all credibility with her. She's very lucky she's cute as it saves her from the ones she frustrates into physical action. They are the single most amazing journey I have been on and I honestly dont know if my life would have half its value if it hadnt been for them gracing it.
Morning Vicki :D
Morning Chris :D
And of course morning miss mary :D
Cuteness is a survival mechanism! (That's why the ADD are so good-looking.) Good morning, all! ;)
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 12:51 PM Morning Your Krisp-ness

redletterruth 03-24-04, 01:50 PM Good morning everyone
Chrissy, its great to hear you in a good place. Enjoy! I sleot in this morning and it feels good. There is something so hopeful about a new day! The birds are singing and the day is fantastically beautiful. Seems like nothing can go wrong today.
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 01:58 PM I love afternoons at home cuz it means free nap time ( I am such a sap)
Kassie its so good to see you, how have you been?
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 01:59 PM Claudia, as always thanks for waiting my mental storm out. You have been one of the strongest supporters I have, that makes me very lucky.
redletterruth 03-24-04, 02:03 PM Chriisy, its always worth it to support you. You are a light in my life.
Morning, even though it's afternoon now... I'm late sue me...
Learned something new and finally got my doc's permission to try it. Took 30MG of Adderall before bed last night. Guess what happened?! I SLEPT GREAT!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!! But wait! Yes, there's more, because not only did I sleep great, get the free pairing knives, and the, never needs sharpening, cuts through a tin can and still cuts razor thin slices of tomatoe ginsu knives, but I also woke up without having any kind of struggle to do it! It was.... Well it was amazing! And all for the low low price of 19.95, and I got some spray on hair in a can too!
So, it was a pretty good morning for me. Of course, it did get worse from there, but I am trying not to let spilt milk get to me. Can't run today. Maybe I will tonight. In the mean time the only thing standing between me and the evil stress monster, are my cigarettes and my trusty zippo Trigger. Boy, that stress monster is lucky, cause I was gonna plant a size ten flight deck boot right up his... Oh, sorry getting carried away again... ;-)
Start the orientation at my second job at Lowe's tonight. This is good, because the Navy still has not straightened out my pay problems. You know, for fifteen years of faithful service, with as little as they pay my butt, you'd think they could at least get it right?! NOT! As of right now they owe me over two thousand dollars. They are still continuously docking my paycheck for having overpaid me seapay though. Even though, I they only over paid me $300.00, and didn't bother to pay me comrats for the last three months, which comes to $750.00 by itself. So, they shouldn't have docked my pay in the first place. In the mean time, I still have all the same bills. GRRRR! This is almost as bad as when they med-evaced me out of the gulf and didn't bother to fund the orders. Had to travel through three different countries in the middle east with non-funded orders and no money. I was traveling for four days. No food, no lodging money, no nothing because they screwed up. Gotta love the governement. They are still processing that travel claim too! ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!! I did eventually eat. I borrowed money from one of the other service guys I was with so I didn't starve. I claimed that, and I paid him back when I got home, but they WILL make good on that.
It's sad, I sure as hell never joined to get rich, but I am so looking forward to retirement. So I can get a real job that will allow me to make enough to ensure I can educate my kids. The only reason we have managed to have what we have in our household is good money management by my wife and lots of second jobs by me.
Sorry, Normally I'm a little less bitter about my job. I'm actually a pretty patriotic guy. Believe me, if I wasn't I would have left the service a long time ago! I'm just very frustrated right now because they talk a lot a trash about quality of life, and I have to fight like hell just to keep my pay straight.
Oh, but I am really looking forward to work, and some coffee, and a smoke, which makes me very happy. I'm not a complicated guy. :-)
bnsforu2 03-24-04, 02:40 PM welcome boy and all!
good to see what 's on your mind any day.
paul :)
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 02:42 PM Hugs eboy glad to see you not stopping up the mental processes :)
Heh, mentally constipated I'm not. Not vocally either... I am really looking forward to this second job. It's not Toys "R" Us, which was my all time favorite second job ( I mean, come on, I got to play with the toys and everything!), but it is retail, working with people, the pay is A LOT BETTER than T R U by about two and a half bucks an hour, I get to work with people, entertain them * One hopes anyway *, and this will more than make up for the monthly loss of $468.00 a month in sea pay until they pronounce me fit for sea again in June. Doc says he will be pronouncing me fully fit, and the meds I am on will not get in the way of an operational fitness screening either, so come June or July E-boy the Old Salt will have his sea legs under him again! YAY!!!!!! MAN THAT'S A LOAD OFF MY MIND! Shore duty with nothing to do was making me nuttier than I already am! People see LIMDU on your service jacket and they think you're made of glass and they won't let you do anything. I'm a big dumb swede for crying out loud! We're like labradors! We need lots of exercise, food, affection, some good chew toys, a nearby body of water, but mostly lots of EXERCISE to be happy!!!! That's what the problem was with the Vikings. They got all grumpy because they didn't have enough room with all those mountains and fjiords to get out and stretch and run and swim. So, they got in their little boats and took out their aggression on England, which wasn't very nice, and France, which was probably understandable, but still not very nice. If someone had built them a nice gym, or given them some chew toys and said, "Nice Vikings! Good Vikings!" They would have wagged their tales and been eager to please big dumb swedes, just like me. Oh well, live and learn. :-)
Gotta go to work now. Be easy everyone.
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 03:36 PM Im glad things are having some hope in sight for you, though you dont seem to let a whole lot knock you down.
bnsforu2 03-24-04, 04:00 PM i can picture you working in T r us boy! :)

too funny! thanks for the laugh, e-boy. i'll think of this when our viking celebrations get underway in my little corner of hometown, usa.
Eh, don't mention it. Had to do something to release tension... :-)
Didn't have a little boat handy and the French are kind of prickly these days anyway... ;-) Besides, it might be kind of embarrassing for a whole country to surrender to one lone half @## chain mail clad axe brandishing E-boy. Especially when after all was said and done, they found out I was trying to find England for some decent beer. ;-)
Lafnalot 03-24-04, 11:27 PM I never respond to chain mail
Yes, but you ain't french are ya?
"For sale, one WWII french army rifle. Never fired and only dropped once." HA HA HA HA HA!
I'm not sure which I look better in... Chain mail, or a sun dress... Hmmm. Choices, choices.
Oh wait, I'm a sailor not a marine. Well that leaves the sun dress out then...

LMBO.. I don't think my Uncle would agree on that.. he was a Marine... :P
Sun has come up and it time to go to bed for me:D
