'Tis the season, and even if it wasn't...what are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful for.. being honored to be in a position to help others acheive a high education..to move from working at low pay jobs to getting into a great Career. Rewarding to see them graduate and the change I see in them. Thankful indeed!

A home. Warmth. Shelter. Food. A room. Water.
My family.
My friends.
My baby hamster.
Hmm... I don't know tbh. I don't celebrate thanksgiving. I'm in the UK.

My outlook is this:

"I am alive, I am not hurting too bad. By definition, it is a beautiful day."

I am thankful for the ability to say this to myself and in my heart believe it..

I made a new friend.

I am grateful for a great deal actually.

But most of all I am grateful whenever I get the opportunity to do something useful. For those precious few days when the balance of life swings to the left. When the miracles outnumber the SNAFU's.

on a simpler level - I'm watching CSI miami in English (not dubbed in in French)

I am SOOOOOOOOO thank-ful for my daughter. She is the light of my of my life, but all of "ME" aside, I am thankful, to be able to offer a diagnosis to beat the pain and cure the disease...I am happy to offer advice, and I am thankful for the acceptence of new friends whom I have made here.

Having my basic needs met
My high intelligence and strong will
My recent £4k a year pay rise (woohoo!)
Soya dairy alternatives
Infant formula (I was one of those who couldn't breastfeed)
eBay
The collectable card game Magic the Gathering (http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/newtomagic.aspx?x=mtg/tcg/newtomagic/whatismagic)
Red Bull and caffeine tablets
Being actually fairly efficient at laundry and thus usually being able to wear exactly what I want in the secure knowledge that it is clean (well, it might be in a pile on my not-that-clean bedroom floor, but it's been washed and dried since the last wear at least).
All those little things I can't bring to mind at present, but without which I'd find life that bit more annoying, difficult or sad.

I'm thankful for grandparents who take all the kids for the whole night.

I'm thankful for movies that make my hubby laugh. (well, me, too...but he needed a good laugh)

Right now i am thank full i came back here, to see that i had made friends that remembered me, eventho we never saw each other in person or the fact i have not really been here in the last couple years..

I really dont feel so alone anymore. :)

I'm thankful for efficient sump pumps and a handy Dad.

As much as I'm thankful for your woderful imagination and all the directions it goes in I cannot have images of my Dad being sexy in any way shape or form running through my head. Ugh...this is going to disturb me for the rest of the night.

today Im grateful that the state wide weather emergency due to an ice storm 10 days ago only knocked my power out for 36hrs and I was able to help others who still have no electricity
