hi all

just wanted to sharemy experience.

i am on 17.5 mg per dosage and was finding that i was creeping up to 20mg at a time and then adding a bit more. and it stopped working for me.

i finally decided that i needed to rest and give my body a chance to recoup from working really hard, and then went back to the lower dose. works so much better without the nervous anxiety of the higher dose.

yeah anytime you take a break from stims and start back up.....they will have a better effect....look up the term "drug holiday" or weekend.

how long did your vacation off the med take for it to be more efficient for you again? I've come to the conclusion that driving up the dose when the meds lost effectiveness is not a viable solution, especially when you can just take off of the med or reduce the dose and have good clean results

absolutely. recently ran out of ritalin and was kind of happy about a chance for a ritalin holiday.

20 mg jittery
17.5 mg better but not as effective

will stick to lower dose
