My daughter is switching from Ritalin to Adderall in the hope of getting less appetite suppression from the meds, so she will eat more during the day and to get a little more coverage during day so that she can finish her homework. So far, it seems to be working. But I'm struggling with the right dosage. I was wondering if there is a typical conversion?
She was on 20mg of Methylin ER (about 6 hours of coverage). She is taking 10mg of the Adderall XR (about 8 hours of coverage) and her appetite is not great, but much better than with the Ritalin. When I move her up to 15 mg, her appetite decreases, but she seems to be concentrating better.
Does anyone have experience switching from Ritalin to Adderal and trying to find the right dosage? I'd love to hear about your experience.
