which one? how do i know which one i probably have? i am low energy for the most part...but i can have spurts of energy...its like huh? i'll zone out/hyperfocus and if i'm disturbed it is so utterly annoying.....................i sleep a lot. can't get enough of the stuff...even prior to having kids. i get depressed...horribly. i am moody. sensitive. i used to hyperventilate a LOT...will if i'm very upset...haven't held a job for over about 7 months at a time...although i've been a childcare provider (in home) for longer...but i needed naps big time to cope...what else...i can't complete many tasks...........i have 'hot spots' (piles) of things everywhere...it drove my ds' father batty. whatever. one reason we are ex's...i'd love to live a simple uncluttered life but it always seems to pile up all around me in every room. i get agitated/irritable easily. usually i'm lacking energy though...just want to zone out...not lazy, just unmotivated...hopeless...blah. i can be pretty vicious w/ what i say when upset/angry. if i'm in a group situation like a staff meeting or a group therapy thing or something, i will interrupt and finish people's thoughts kind of thing... does this sound more ADD or ADHD.

It could be either, both, or none. Go get formally diagnosed.

i don't know. well UCSF says i probably have ADD. or maybe it was ADHD. they actually officially 'tested' me there. also said possible bipolar and borderline personality disorder. other psychiatrists have treated me/dX'd w/ possible bp and bpd/add but see, i never stayed long enough w/ anyone or had shrinks who didn't like dxing me w/ anything. sigh...so. i don't know. i am in the process of getting dx'd by a psychiatric mental health nurse...so we shall see... i'm trying to see what the difference is between add and adhd. i'm definitely not driven most of the time...although i have many pursuits i've started and stopped, as i've shared. but most of the time its just my mind that is going...not my feet.

what is the difference betw ADD and bpd and bp II or III i wonder...i just can't figure out how someone would dx me w/ just ADD cuz there's got to be more to it. i'm so messed up tonight...

How do you plan on getting diagnosed if you keep shopping around for psychs etc. I suggest you see a psychiatrist who specialises in at least ADD/ADHD.

And to answer your question, RE, difference between ADD, ADHD, BPD, BP 1, 2 & 3, I suggest you do some reading. It's just a wee bit too much to explain.
