I was just curious of what kind of jobs we all worked at. See if it's kinda all over the place or sorta the same things. And Yes homemaker is a job probably the hardest of them all. If we don't have a job what do we do to keep ourselves busy to keep from going crazy.

I work in sales and retail.

Electronics technician in the United States Navy. Specialize in combat systems. In my case that's tactical comms, and Command and Control systems. Been doing it for about fifteen years now, have the equivelant to a degree in computer science, so I am trying to make that "official" by knocking out my core classes through Navy College campus.

I'm also presently working a second job at Lowe's. You'd think I'd work in electrical where I actually know a bit more, but I'm learning the ropes in hardware. 77 hours a week so far, but I enjoy working with people.

1)Contractor - electrical (boaring job ..... bla bla whine cry rant rave boo hoo) - but it pays the bills.

2)Physisist - in my own mind - ok job - no money ! No recognition and no one believes me! But I can travel time! and to Walmart.

3)Inventer or is it Inventor? Lots of fun- some money - some believe me ... but im not sure if it is real!

4)Philophisizer...I dont realy think I know what I want to be when I grow up.....I thought I was ... but then again ....

Does any one realy take thier "job" seriously? - real question.

I am a full time mom and veteran wife and I have never picked up dirty socks. Trust me, kat, when the clean ones run out, the dirty ones will miraculously find their own way to the hamper.

I am still trying to wrap my mind around the loan officer remark. It'll probably hit me in the middle of the night or in church. Would it be funny if you were a loan officer in a blood bank? I honestly don't know, as I am still unable to take apart the other remark.

Most of the jobs I have had involve taking care of people in some capacity or another. I have been a copy editor. That was cool. I thought working at a video store would be cool. It was not.

flakey did you not read all of that remark? it was that HE was a loan officer in a SPERM bank. and i dont think it would be as funny if it were in a blood bank...LOL

no when the dirty ones run out i just get told i have to do a load of laundry....we have been together for over 2 yrs and he has NEVER done a load of laundry...helped yes, while we were taking it to the laundry mat......and that was only loading and unloading out of vehicle. even while i was in hospital for baby or surguries he never done laundry i got home and was suppose to take it easy and what do i do.....laundry and housework....i probably should be veteran status right now even though it is not official.lmao

Discovered oil painting in college and knew that was what I had to do. Then realized I had to get a job. Fell into office admin work, got more into graphics, then managed a graphics dept. So have worked in an office for the last 15+ years. Hated being in an office, felt like I was wasting my life, and dying emotionally, needed to be doing something creative for a living, but couldn't bring myself to leave the security of the office job.

However...in the last year and ahalf my husband left me, then I was diagnosed with early-stage cervical cancer, then major surgery (successful -- I'm now cancer-free!). The week I got back to work from medical leave, my company (I had been there 7 years) announced bankruptcy and closing that day.

So, I figured the Universe was giving me a kick in the pants (only takes 3 major bad things for me to get the hint!). I've started my own floral design business (something I've always done for fun -- I LOVE flowers). Also I'm getting back to fine art painting and have sold my first painting (yeah!), and starting to do commercial painting projects as well (faux finish on floor, chili peppers on a restaurant wall, etc.)

I have no money (I'm moving back in with my mom), but I'm happier than I've ever been in my life!!!!!!
