My new (ADD) Ipod contains: some grateful dead, some Chopin & Verdi, some U2 and a lot of the Cure. Haven't downloaded the Led Zepplin yet...

Hey, I saw Rancid in concert a few months ago. They were pretty good, though I can't say I've ever opted to listen to them outside of that experience.

I prefer pretty standard stuff. Beatles, Stones, Doors, Velvet Underground, and a lot of modern stuff too like Regina Spekter, Bright Eyes, Coldplay, Damien Rice, Deftones, Slipknot ... could go on for quite awhile in either era. Oh and I have to mention Tom Waits. I really enjoy music. I think the best album I've ever listened to is 'Ram' by Paul McCartney.

And it depends on the ipod but for a new 8 gig nano I think they're roughly 150. Could be wrong. Shuffles are the cheapest but they only allow something like 250 songs, really not enough for me personally. 4 gigs isn't enough either, I think I filled mine with 750 songs.

I'm a Sondheim fan. Showtunes. My current favorite is Sweeney Todd, not the movie version.

Of course, there's not just Sondheim.

I love Carousel and Kiss Me, Kate. So many to love and enjoy.

A lot. I have about ten days worth of music on my computer.

A small portion of what I listen to ranges from Jamiroquai, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, Belle and Sebastian, Serge Gainsbourg, Miles Davis, Ben Folds, Beck, Air, Frank Zappa, Boards of Canada, Flaming Lips, Aphex Twin, Autechre, and My Bloody Valentine.

I listen to a variety of styles .. from pop to hard rock and country. right now i'm really into female artists - particularly those with a hard edge or uniqueness to their voices (Pink, Duffy, Sia, KT Tunstall, Evanescence, Dolores O'Riordan, Aimee Mann..)
