I was looking on a search engine for Forrest Gump sites,when I came across this on the International Movie Database forum: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109830/board/nest/7305902

I can't believe people are saying this without even finding out exactly what was wrong with the character.

If anyone does not know,the Forrest Gump character had Aspergers,except it does not seem to be so widely reported in reviews exetera,people just seem to call him 'disabled' or 'retarded'.

Why do you think the character had Aspergers?

If I remember correctly he had a very low IQ. He seemed to have more of a cognitive delay than a conditon under the autistic spectrum.

He didn't seem to show the same traits as people like Bill Gates and Thomas Jefferson.
