Hey guys,
It's me again. I just looked through the list and found out that this clinic is the nearest to my Uni I can get there in about an hour by train. I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this doctor: Dr. Soni and also how much they had to pay, the priory does seem really expensive and if I get diagnosed I won't be able to continue seeing her.

So any advice anyone?:)

i dont but this doesnt make sense - you should get a referral from your GP and they should apply for a free assessment for you from the NHS.

1) PPL here have been to see Dr Soni. AFAIK she is just fine.

2) NHS assessment? Is one having a giraffe? The NHS is only good for screwing you around forever and messing things up.

Going private is expensive..but you don't need to go on a regular basis. If you get a diagnosis it will be accomanied by a suggestion to your GP that you have XYZ treatment. GPs will bow to this (and if they don't then you change them) and you can go on forever from this diagnosis. Top Tip. Do not see another NHS psychiatrist afterwards - they may suggest to your GP that the specialist was wrong and screw it up for you...like wot one did to me so I'm having to do it all over again. Sigh.

If you can go private do it.

Don't go down the NHS route if you can help it. Seriously.

As Dave says, they mess you about and can turn a seemingly straightforward thing into a big pile of frustration and arrrrrrrrrggggggghhhh!!!!

Good luck with your assessment!

Thanks, I thought my assessment was going to be just this wednesday gone-turns out it's next week- now i am kicking myself for worrying over it- instead of revising for my exams properly- not that anything I would have done would have helped
