Rating threads can be helpful to new users and site visitors.

Under each thread on the right there is a drop down menu to rate that thread.

Okay, so like what does a thumbs down pic mean?:)

That's an icon that the person posting has chosen. When you create a post, you can choose from among various smilies, punctuation, and hand gestures, to appear next to your post.

BIG, your link doesn't go to an explanation, it goes to a list of smilies...

Well...good news, WWC...now its even EASIER to rate a thread.

At the top of each thread, there is a pulldown menu called RATING (if its already been rated) or RATE THREAD (if it hasnt been rated yet). Click on it, and click the rating you wish to assign to that particular thread.

The system will average all ratings assigned to the thread.

I would encourage ALL members to rate threads, to show whether you thought a thread was worthwhile reading, or how you enjoyed it. Just click on the RATING menu at the top of every thread. See the attached image :)
