I can't be the only fan around here, and I'm a new fan at that. I'm just now catching up.

Hubby read that they're having betting in England over the next Doctor, so much so that the bookies have had to say "no more bets". It's a really big deal. Makes me proud to be a geek.

I wish I could get up to date British news here in the U.S.. Videos aren't available, and it's not like U.S. news where I get it when it comes out...I mean, I know there's a time difference, but it'd be nice to get it the same day. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong sites.

When I was young I used to be an enthusiastic dr. Who watcher. Back when the Daleks looked a lot more threatening. Exterminate..
Nowadays I still catch the occasional episode on BBC. Just a few days ago they ran one with Cybermen all over London.
I do not know if you can get BBC there, but it's probably you best bet. BBC UK has a website too.

That's David Tennant, in a different interview.

Matt Smith is only 26. From what I've read, what he has done he has done well at.

He's only signed up for one season. Like Eccleston. Tennant signed up for 3 right off the bat. So it makes me curious if Smith is a transitional Doctor. Eventually Moffat (writer) has Doctor Who hooked up with the archaeologist River Song, but that was written before Tennant left. Maybe that storyline will go by the wayside.

Crossing my fingers that Sally Sparrow (Blink) will be a future companion.

Well, I'm still catching up on Season 4. I can't believe I have to wait, not only for the 2009 specials after they come out on dvd, but then Season 5 airs in 2010, and I have to wait until THOSE are out on dvd. :(

Maybe I'm on the wrong continent.

eta: was in Best Buy yesterday, a disc set of just one season of Doctor Who is 80 bucks! I love it, but I'm not spending that much on it. Will check out half, etc instead.

Are they getting younger or am I getting older? No, don't answer that.

Both. :p

I'm curious to see the plot behind the youthful regeneration.
