Yep. Thanks to those nice medicos @ SLAM I've been dignosed for a second time with ADHD (and had my dosage of Ritalin increased).

No thanks to my local shrink who threw a huge spanner in the works and ruined my entire year by throwing doubt on my first diagnosis.

I'm just spreading my good news at the moment - will follow up with more info and the whole sorry story later on.

But I'm a happy bunny again :)

why do you think they keep doubting you, dave?

Let's see. A jobbing psychiatrist working in a dementia clinic decided in less than an hour that I didn't have ADHD.

Which contradicted a specialist in developmental disorders that did a whole barrage of tests.

And now The Maudsley have independantly confirmed the dignosis.

So if my diagnosis is wrong then your own could be called into doubt.

And stop hounding me round the forum calling me out on this. If you had concerns that I've been misdiagnosed you should have sent me a detailed personal message explaining your reasoning in a measured manner rather than trying to out me on a public forum.

You are out of order.

Reasonable request and I shall second the motion - please take all personal matters up privately as doing so in open post tends to distract from the discussion.

Also judicial use of the ignore function may also be useful in preventing further conflicts as well.
