Hey everybody, ive never been fat, but ya know, you always would like to lose the extra impossible to lose fat because your a guy and need to eat like crazy all the time. Weeeeell, since i am taking ritaling i must say ive never been that thin, first upon taking them i was 165 lbs and 5, 10 '' ft tall and im now down to 158, in....one week, of course the other effects are amazing, like concentration and all, but weight loss, thats really something im estatic about, i know ill lose some muscle too of course and there is a water loss too. But since i train a lot, i should be able to gain it back easely and keep the fat away and since im not so hungry anymore well ill just control nicely my eating and eat just enough to build good mass and keep the fat away.its my chance to have the toned body i always wanted yayy. This morning i went in front of the mirror and i was like omg i just melted or wut... it was like...gosh, amazing, still cant believe it.

Appetite suppression doesn't last forever for most people. Just a warning. Use it more as a boost to accomplish your goals before that effect falls out from under you.

I'm glad you're happy about the weight loss, but be warned, most fast weight loss will be back, whether in a few weeks, months, or years, it'll come back and possibly more with it. However, some people do keep the weight off, but because it's most likely down to the fact of the appetite supression, when you get the appetite back, so may the weight.

yep it always comes back and meds never stay the way you want them to. A lot of us forget to eat on meds by the way. You're less proned to be bored so you don't like the food and boredness factor very much. Good news is..... they help you follow through on eating right and working out, IF you choose to do it and keep the frame of mind.

I've had some weight-loss on Ritalin as well, and while I keep hearing that appetite suppression won't last forever, over 3-4 months and still going strong.

However... I don't depend on it. I don't NOT eat just because I'm not hungry (three double negatives, top that!). I just eat more sensibly instead of the junk I'd usually eat. Hence, when it wears off, I'm not starving and don't binge.

I was on vyvanse and was overweight, i lost 50 pounds and i looked better than ever and everyone was amazed and said how great i looked....i got taken off of it. Now i gained so much of it back and im so embarrassed cause everyone said how great i looked but now i went right back to being fat. Its really depressing.
