Hello everyone,

I've been considering talking to my doctor about an anti-depressant to go along with my Adderall. My only real hesitation in this is that about 5 years ago we tried the anti-depressant route, and whatever it was they gave me ended up turning me into a zombie. It was horrible. Part of me thinks this might have been the lack of titration in developing the dosage, but I'm still hesitant.

How about it guys, does anyone here have some anti-depressant success stories? I've also thought about 5-HTP, as I've heard its the new mood wonder drug, but it's really hard to find around here for some reason.

I don't like SSRIs, personally. I'm partial to Welbutrin or, as an OTC option, Sam-E.

I found lexapro's effect to be very subtle, it did help. But, I only took it for a few months.

Wellbutrin didn't do anything for me either with ADHD or depression symptoms. Just got off of it last week.
