So...I'm due for a new phone...I'm with VZW...and I need International Roaming...AND...I'm a heavy Blackberry user (BB 8830)

Wondering where I go from here (on VZW). Seems like the only way is picking up the Storm (BB 9530), BUT...I've heard many bad reviews.

Do any of you have experience with this phone?

unfortunately, all I can tell you is that a lot of my friends recommended it to me when I was looking for a new phone.
(I didn't need that much of a phone, so I settled on a BB Curve and I love it, but it's probably not enough pizazz for all you need it to do).

(I don't have either - but totally want to play with them both for 15 minutes each (or 30 minutes together).

Apparently video quality is 'sweet' on the storm.

After playing with the Storm in the controlled environment of the VZW stores...I'm torn. I suppose I could hang on to my current BB...and wait for the Curve 8900 that's rumored to become available on VZW in the spring of '09. The ADDer in me wants to just get the new toy...but I think I need to resist.

Oh boy do I ever know that feeling: you're sitting in the store, playing with a new toy and one half of you wants it, while the other half is convincing yourself you don't. On rare occasions, I have managed to walk out of the store. It takes alot, but I've managed it.
