...ughh, idk how to start this.. Basically I've got an abdominal pain that happened a while ago, and also started to feel like it was going to happen today (but the pain isn't very bad, I just don't move for a few minutes and it's gone, AND only rly happened once so far this ...like... year) I'm trying to rule out appendicitus, and point the blame at bad posture (can posture cause appendicitus?).
Description of pain
Just the other day I felt a sharp, 'don't move or it hurts,' kind of pain in my lower right abdomen for about 2 mins. My posture for 5 hrs before the pain was:
*laying with my back to my couch and my feet up on a coffee table... knees bent*
...so basically my intestines / gut / etc. didn't have tons of breathing room, but, at the same time, it didn't notice an discomfort. I always study this way when I'm on adderall, I think it keeps my feet warm, and also is just comfortable / easy on my back.
...then all the sudden it's time to get up, and as I am sluggishly unslouching and all that I notice the sharp pain, at which point I stopped moving till it went away.
Now that I think about it, as of late, periodically I have been feeling a somewhat-pain everyonce in a while which is relieved by leaning back more (rather than hunching over).
Historic speculation: I recall feeling this pain more frequently a long time ago. I think I attributed the pains dissapearance to my coca-cola-abstinance. (coincidentally enough, this current pain happened 4 days after my first coca-cola in a pretty long time)
I gotta think at this point that the sharp pain must have been coming from my appendix? To follow up on the risk of appendicitus I checked for tenderness, there is none. Nor is there any obvious inflamation (but I don't know what I'm doing exactly, plus I'm way out of shape right now). My oral temp registered at 97.8 so no fever. I do have diarrhea though, but that's ongoing and attributed to anxiety and XR. I don't really have time for appendicitus until wednesday...
Should I think about sacrificing my efficiency / 'comfortableness when studying' to avoid serious bad posture complications? Does adderall increase propensity of appendicitus? Does anyone know what's going on?
