I am currently on 50mg of vyvanse. It is not working very well and I take it around 8am and by 1pm it has worn off completely. I've been on this sight for weeks reading about all the ADD meds. I really think I need something that is stronger than vyvanse and that will last me atleast from 8am to 5pm even if I have to take it twice a day. I really think adderall may be the med for me but when i told my doc about it not workly all that well and it wearing off she just told me to take it a couples of hours later. I go back in two weeks so I was wanting to know if anyone had the same problem and what they said to their doc to get through to them and to switch them to adderall. I'm freaking out because I've recently started a new quarter in school and my whole point for getting help was to help me in school and this is not workng!!! Please any advice will be truely grateful!

my advice is to increase your vyvanse dosage upwards and scientifically measure if a higher dosage gives you symptom control. If not drop it and move to adderall.

i currently take 120mg Vyvanse to make it thru day.....was originally prescribed 60mg.....I wouldnt even think going back to Adderall, Vyvanse is much better for me in comparison

kiosk-

your saying vyvanse lasts longer and is smoother right? From what I hear 70mg is not alot at all, and that quite a few people ( adults) will end up on 140mg to 210mg of vyvanse.

yup....what I have read is that Vyvanse is basically Dexedrine (D-Amp) without the L-amp which stimulates the PNS more than the CNS....so Vyvanse doesnt give me jitters and anxiety, just focus

the ratio is 2.5:1 I believe, where 120mg Vyvanse is only 48mg of Dexedrine (d-amp), as far as adderall since is 75% d-amp and 25% l-amp I believe is not same comparison
