I am a normally happy person who is high energy and social. I've been on adderall for two years or so and just recently, I have developed cold hands and feet, a weird headache, constant fatigue and just a randomly depressed feeling, even when I'm not "crashing". By the time I get home around 7pm all I want to do is crawl into bed, but I dont fall asleep until 1 or 2 am. Then I can't drag myself out of bed in the morning. To make matters worse, Im not sure the dose I'm on is very beneficial anymore, but focus wise, I am worthless without it.

I just don't feel like myself and I'm even more worried that the change in my personality might be permanent. It also saddens me to think that I am worthless without it work wise. I've tried drug holidays, even going so far as stayingoff of it for almost 3 months, but its been worse since I started back.

I think I may need to see my doctor to change or just come off all together....I saw a family practice doctor who had never even heard of vynase when I suggested trying it. So would I go to a psychiatrict or a psychologist to get someone who knows how to help? Has anyone had this issue on adderall and then switched to Vynase and been better?

Sorry so long, but please help!

I like my personality better off adderall as well. Bottom line is that to focus I need to be on my meds. I have had a hard time sleeping because of adderall my Dr is very careful of what she will let me take so she prescribed seriquil. Its normally used as an anti psychotic, however there are many reasons Drs prescribe it like to help sleep. I love it. I have been thinking about trying vyase as well. Mostly because the first month is free. But im afraid it won’t work as well as adderall. Do you think you may be suffering from depression as well? Just a question. I hope all the best for you! Please keep in touch!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Just about anything can change how your meds work, from increased tolerance to menopause. It isn't uncommon. When I was a kid, my meds seemed to change every other month! I was growing.

If you have been on the IR form of Adderall, Vyvanse will be different because it is a time release. Although I have never tried Vyvanse, I have heard mostly good things from people taking it. One of the great things about it is that it is only made by one company so it should be pretty consistent. Adderall is manufactured by a couple of different companies and people have reported that different manufacturers have different effects.

Needing to change stims is bothersome but not nearly as bothersome as the alternative. The only caution I have is to watch symptoms alongside of watching your menstrual calendar. If the problem you are having is due to estrogen fluctuation, it is possible that changing your stim won't provide the desired relief.
