I've been working on getting my daughter tested for ADD and my first step was to visit a learning center. They don't actually do a full scale testing but do evaluations. An Occupational Therapist did some testing on her with how she processess information and her reaction time to sounds. Also by asking her some questions. In his opinion my daughter has an area they could help her improve in but he doesn't see her having any real problem. He sees no need for medication at all and feels that the teacher could be wrong. He still did recommend us to see the Doctor we are scheduled to see on the 15th for the actual full scale ADD/psych testing. I'm just wondering how much weight I should put on the opinion of this OT. He didn't really push us at all to come to the center. He really seemed to be honest and seemed to care what was best for our daughter. I'm hoping the other doctor will feel the same and that maybe my daughter will just need little reminders from her teachers to rememeber some things. Was just wondering what you all think of OT's. I think I found a good one but am waiting to see what the other doctor says. As always, any advice is very welcome. Thanks, Dee
