Is it ok not to take it everyday? Or do you get a better overall effect if you take it each and every day?

I use Concerta which is made from methylphenidate, and I skip my doses on the weekend sometimes. My doctor said that was completely fine, so it should be ok to skip it sometimes. The one you can't skip doses on is Strattera.

I take weekends off as I mostly take meds (ritalin at this point) to help focus at work. I like the break.

I had to take breaks from Ritalin because of sleep issues. But only on weekends. I was useless on those days.

Ritalin has no cumulative effect. It works only for the time it is in your body. Taking a break is good to avoid tolerance.

I take Vyvanse and sometimes I will skip on weekends, but it really sucks. :o
