What do you think about your future? Do you feel hopeless or positive? Do you think you can handle life without being a slave of stimulants drugs or do you think you will dependable from them all your life?

I am asking this because I was doing very good in the school since I start college 3 years ago and my GPA was in very good standard but then the drugs I was taking stop working and my gpa went down I just have a few classes to finish my bachelor and feel miserable knowing that I have reall hard time finishing. I feel inferior to must of my peers. Have you guys feel that way?

No you shouldn't feel that way. You should be able to focus and be calm with the right strategy. Its partly up to you to come up with one that works best.

Those are the same feelings I had prior to being diagnosed with ADD.

It blows. Talk to your doctor about adjusting your dosage/switching meds.

I definitely don't feel like I'm a slave because I know that I don't need the meds to focus, it just makes me more efficient and less distracted. Poor study habits will come back to bite you in the *** so you should really try to address that and be as efficient as possible.

Find what works for you. Chronic high dose amphetamine usage can be harmful but I think that if I had to take adderall for the rest of my life, I'd be OK with that. I feel that for once I'm on the same level with my peers and that I am able to do things as easily on adderall as they do naturally.

dude man sometimes people just go through ups and downs. i never took adderall or any stims in school, and some classes or entire semesters i'd be at the front and pull a 4.0 and others i'd scrap by with a 2.7.

don't think that taking adderall is gonna make u function like a machine everyday for the rest of your life. that's a stupid view point, and buying into it is gonna set up u for bad experiences with the drug.

some people with severe adhd will need stims to focus in school , some people have the disorder so badly that they cannot focus or even be ready to focus without a med, and there is nothing wrong with that , you simpley have to find a plan and work it
