Well my doctor isn't too bright with certain things. He switched me from generic to barr Adderall but it says on the bottle to take it ONCE a day before bedtime. This means I have to go back to him in 2 weeks and tell him yet again that I need 2-3 pills a day not one, and I am not supposed to take it before bed. (shouldn't he be telling me that?)
I know many people want to know the differences between barr and generic adderall. So far I only took one today, being I woke up late. I am only on my first day. It does feel different than generic to me but in an odd way. I feel like barr adderall worked longer for me and even a little better. On generic I felt like I only got 3 hours out of it and sometimes it felt like it was working on and off like xr used to do to me. With barr I felt it was consistant and seemed to work pretty well for a longer amount of time. I felt very motivated and talkative...perhaps a little too talkative to the point where I even annoyed myself lol.
Problems with barr....it is WAY more money than I thought. For only 30 pills it is 113 dollars! On generic it was HALF of that for 3 pills a day! Another big big problem is that where I am from, you have to pre order barr adderall! Yes thats right, you have to pre order it. I was off of my medication for nearly a week because I didn't know this. Being most people are on generic...pharmacies don't bother ordering barr. So if you have a precription for barr adderall you have to pre order it and wait 2 days for it to come in. On top of this, I think my crash was worse on barr adderall. When it wore off I felt very depressed and angry. I really hope that stops because I went from feeling good to feeling terrible. Generic never made me feel that bad coming off of it.
All in all it is too soon to tell being it is my first day and your first 2 weeks you feel the best and worst of everything. So far I would say barr adderall is in fact better than generic. BUT there are disadvantages of this pill and I wonder if I should be paying this much more, and having a big crash when it wears off...just to feel a little better on it than on generic. Time will tell if it is worth it to stay on this.
