I have SCT (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sluggish_cognitive_tempo), and like others like me, methylphenidate doesn't work for me. It's marginally better than nothing, but even between that and Wellbutrin--and of course enough coffee to give a horse a heart attack--it barely gets me through the day, and I still feel like crap.

Anyway, I'm teaching English in Korea. Apparently Adderall is illegal here. I just wrote a psychiatrist in Japan, and was told I couldn't get it there either. WTF? Is there any country in Asia where I can get adequate medical treatment?

I would like to continue teaching English, but my top priority in life is having access to Adderall, as my life is basically on hold without it. Does anyone know where I can find information on it's legal status in different countries?

You're just going to have to check local laws. Find an international hospital and ask there. You might be able to have them get it shipped to you. You also may want to consider contacting your local American embassy as well. I had a passport issue in China and the people at the embassy were more than willing to work with me to get it resolved so I'm sure if you can prove to them you have a legitimate prescription they may be able to work something out. I'm not sure honestly, just be sure not to violate any local laws.

I would normally recommend getting enough of a supply to last you but since adderall is a Schedule II here in the US, you would likely run into issues obtaining it and transporting it.

Definitely check with your closest international hospital to see if they know of any legal meds to treat SCT. Good luck getting help and enjoy your time over seas! :)
