Hi all, I am worry about this health issue I had been experience. I had been taking stimulants drugs for about 4 years. Right now I taking vyvanse and strattera. Since, I start taking medication I was able to experience a lot of positive aspect in my life. But, also my health deteriorate a little I think, because my eysight change and I start wearing glasses. I never pay attention to that and I never told the doctor about it. Also, I start having chest pains, but I did go to the E.R where they told me I was in very good condition. They took a cat scan from my chest and a EKG and everithing came out very good.

So, I continue taking the drug but I still have this chest pain, is not constant and is not intense is a very slight discomfort that doesnt bother me too much but it make me worry!!! I had an electro cardio gram 5 months ago again and it came out very good. I have never tell my psychiatry.

What should I do? I am so dependable from this medications that I dont know how my life would look like without them. If any one has experience the same such as change in eysight or chest pain please let me know. I dont know if the pain is more psychologica or it come from panic attacks.

Thanks all
God bless you!!

You gotta tell your psychiatrist. Can't keep that to yourself. I don't think the stims would be taken away from you. Maybe you just need to take something for panic attacks as well. Your doc should be able to help you.

I've heard about eyesight changes, but don't really know enough to comment. There's a post lower on this page about it.

Is it possible the chest pain is from acid reflux? Not all that uncommon.

and I only know this because I started having chest pains last August and they became sharp one night and I ended up in the ER. (I saw your post on the front page - I'm currently not on any medication)

Costochondritis http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/costochondritis

The pain could be dull or sharp, mine started off dull and one night became very sharp. I thought i was having a heart attack. The doctor at the ER was an ***, didn't even want to do an EKG on me, he relented to that and a chest x-ray, but nothing showed up. Ended up seeing my doctor a few days later and he diagnosised me with Costochondrititis. Maybe your medication is completely un-related to the pain. I by no means trying to play laptop doc on you, but wanted to share my experiance and maybe it will give you another avenue to look at.

Heart rates over 100bpm can cause a slight discomfort in the chest. Heart burn is also a common reason for chest discomfort.

Cant hurt to try taking a tums + see if that makes any difference. That an EKG was good rules out a lot of the bad cases.
