I'm going to my doc (she's actually a Nurse Practitioner) and she is retarded when it comes to medication.
Especially stims.
I had to titrate myself up to 20mg IR since she gave it to me and was like "take one a day" Oh, and did I mention she had given me about 4 meds that all interact with each other without telling me?
I need to change docs, but in the mean time...I talked her into letting me try XR, but I can damn sure bet you she doesn't know wtf she is doing.
I saw people talking about XR and that 20mg IR does not equal 20mg XR.
She WILL NOT prescribe me 2 pills a day, I can promise you that. She claims my insurance wont pay for it, which is, of course, bull****.
I need info and RELIABLE resources. Like, ones I can print off and show her. CREDIBLE! Medical Journals would be best.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
PS. The APPT is for TODAY (wednesday) at 2pm. Haaaaalllppp, lol.
Edit: I just found the number to call TNCare if your doctor won't call and approve a medicine (so you can get it approved yourself), so I'm going to call in the AM and see if they can tell me if they pay for 1 XR and 1 IR a day (my doc said they wont) or if they would pay for 2 IR daily. Or, if they dont know, if they can direct me to someone who does.
I have a hard time believing they wont pay for me to take two IR a day, or one IR and XR a day.
