Regarding bacon...

*Never* cook bacon naked... This also goes for sausage and hamburger...

My husband cooks bacon on the back yard grill - no dishes to wash and the drippings take care of themselves.

The original theme of this thread still holds true. It's probably a good idea to avoid grilling naked :D

I just ate bacon. Dressed, though.

I also tend to prepare my bacon fully dressed :D

If you want to cook it naked, just trim the fat.

I trim the fat anyway and just use the round bit.... I keep the edges for when I'm using it in a dish where it needs to be in little bits (e.g. my spicy chicken or meatballs dishes), and just cut out the little pink bits i need and discard the fat.

Why cook a part of something that you're not going to eat?

But even so, I'd still cook it dressed because it can still spit and splatter! :)

I haven't had real bacon in a long time! Naked or not! :)

We eat the Oscar Myers Turkey bacon now days. I actually prefer the turkey bacon over real bacon now. It tastes just like bacon without the fatty parts. They've finally got it down to where it's really good now days, and I'm pretty critical about my bacon quality. I promise you that if it wasn't pretty tasty, I wouldn't buy it anymore.

I highly recommend trying it if you haven't.

I'll try it....

Um, if I want to cook naked, can't I just use a splatter guard?:D

If you trim the fat is there anything left? :-)
