I have been on ritain er for 2 months first 10 mg and now 20. Iam not noticing any improvement of my symptoms. My doc said that if the 10mg increase doesn't do anything then I might not have ADD. How do I suggest something else.
I don't know how your doctor is, but if I tell mine that something is not working properly, he tries me on something different, or he switches doses/timing...

That's a pretty bold statement. We don't even really know what ADHD is. At Duke University, they're using autistic knockout mice (mice that can't purge dopamine from their brains and go wild trying to calm themselves down) to represent us. Maybe in another century we'll have some sort of objective scan or something, but Ritalin is not even close to an objective test for ADHD.
Lots of people have bad luck with the first med they try. Honestly, I would just try to find a different doctor. Even if you get him/her to change meds, what if the next med doesn't work?
