So I finally got my psychiatrist to believe I had ADD, but I tried to find some middle ground instead of just asking for Adderall or something else
I'm about to start taking Wellbutrin XL 300mg tomorrow, and take it for a month and see if it helps me any. Any other inattentive's have luck with this medication? I read mixed responses as to it's effectiveness on ADD.

i don't have any experience with that
but strattera is one that docs aren't affraid to prescribe... it's not a stim & can't be abbused.
Yeah, I was gonna try strattera next if the Wellbutrin XL doesn't work. I'm hoping by not demanding certain medications and trying things they want me to try, that maybe they would trust giving me Adderall, Dexedrine, or the others.
My main problem is I don't think my psychiatrist knows a whole lot about Inattentive ADD. She knows about ADHD in kids...but I've been seeing a pattern that a lot of psychaitrists don't believe Adult ADD exists or they think its a scam. I personally know ADHD carries over into adult hood in most cases and that it is a real disorder, I wouldn't be here if I thought otherwise.
But she actually worked with me today and gave me Wellbutrin after I asked for it. It's inbetween a stimulant and an anti-depressant chemically.
