Howdy All!
Well this is a thread that I didn't think I would be starting until yesterday.
On an inital consult with a new psychiatrist, (one that I scheduled over a month ago in my quest for Strattera for Princess and only kept because of nagging concern about Bipolar) it was suggested that we needed to do some further investigation to rule our Asperger's for her. While I have suspected for quite some time that she perhaps had Non Verbal Learning Disorder/Disability and understood that while not "on the spectrum" was just outside in the hall of Autism, I was quite taken aback with this little revelation.
Now that I spent about 8 hours reading and reading and reading, lol, and changing my lenses to view this possibility, I understand why he suggested it, and am actually more comfortable with a rule out Asperger's than a rule out Bipolar and see that it makes more sense as I observe where her behavior comes from.
Is this my new lenses? Or is this reality? I don't yet know, but I will be following this sub-forum a lot closer in the future. :)
