I'm not sure if this is a good idea, so I'm wondering if anyone has ever taken Ephedra extract along with wellbutrin. They both work on DA and NE receptors so I'm worried about too high a build up of them.

Why not request a small dose of addeerrall or ritilan with the WB? These med's are syergistic and potentiate eachother. I'd push and make the case w/my Dr. for a small dose. WB is a stimulant type drug on it's own and has some abuse potential, you may want to point this out, the small dose First-line stims likley even have less abuse potential than the higher dosed amount of Wellbutrin you are perscibed. Ephedra is not legal I think but ephederine is. My view is that ephederine is much more of a raw drug in raising DA and NA, than the lesser side-effected first-line stim options.

Ephedra is illegal to sell in the united states but not illegal to buy online.

I can't tell you what to do but consider the reason ephedra was made illegal - it is both the pseudepherine and ephederine combined (very strong stimulant) and unregulated. Better to use Bronkaid. If the Adderall and Ritialn small dose amounts are out with the WB, there is another option that is very effective. You could use Tyrosyne and DLPA in conjunction. Both will reduce to Dopamine/Noradranaline, and the WB will hold the chemicals in place longer for extra stimulation. You can alternate between T/D to prevent tolerence (provided you aren't allergeic).

Well I took it yesterday and felt fine, basically I'm trying this stuff called Lipodrene.

Wouldn't do that Xeon. I am a big supplement fan, and familiar with Lipodrene (I have some). Ephedra as the whole herb Ma Huang is one thing (and not so bad), but these days, Ephedra is extracted from quite a few different sources. None of these sources perform the same way good old Ma Huang Ephedra used to. Either there are no Ephedra alkaloids in a product at all these days (such as in Mormon Tea, which is a particular class of ephedra plant species), or there are plenty of alkaloids, and all in a rather harsh form that can produce dangerous side effects when mixed with prescription medications. In the Lipodrene, seven of the ingredients are stimulants on their own. Each with their own side effect profile. And the one that I absolutely cannot condone that anyone take is Yohimbe. Remember, I am a huge supplement fan, but I have researched and used Yohimbe myself. It can raise the heart rate rather a lot and also cause heart palpitations. As a silent side effect, I consider it to be harsh enough to cause a stroke. Never mind that it is the last ingredient in that list. Yohimbe is too harsh to mix with anything at all. Because Wellbutrin is known to lower the seizure threshold, I think you are playing with fire to take any stimulant not approved by your doctor with it. I own at least ten different kinds of herbal stimualants, but I would never mix them with Wellbutrin. What I HAVE done is used them as the "booster" for my Adderall in the afternoon when I wanted to avoid taking another Adderall. But, I cannot recommend anyone else do that either. We all experiment at our own risks. Please do not take any herbal of supplement stims with Wellbutrin though.

I've used Lipodrene with ephedra. It's good stuff, if you follow the directions and use it safely, but I wouldn't combine it with Wellbutrin. Ephedra can be very dangerous when taken with other stimulants like Adderall or Wellbutrin. It's not even a good idea to drink coffee while you're taking ephedra.

And ephedra is actually legal in the U.S. in 47 states. But you can only buy it online because no retail stores will dare to sell it after all the bad publicity. You just have to be very careful about your source.

If you need an Adderall type effect, you really should talk to your doctor. Wellbutrin is a stimulant (though not nearly in the same way Adderall is) that messes with your heart. Ephedra messes with your heart. Together just seems like trouble. Your best bet is talking to your doctor about Adderall and at least you'll have a professional opinion. Sure, Adderall + Wellbutrin = double mess with your heart too, but at least your doctor can help you find the best and safest combo that works for you.

Plus, Ephedra is illegal to have in the US, and if you ever got caught with it by the police, you would be in some serious trouble. Since its illegal, its also unregulated, which (as stupid as the FDA can be sometimes) is really not safe.

Read wikipedia, Ephedra is not illegal. If it was illegal it would have gotten seized by customs through shipping.

But I've stopped taking Lipodrene, that stuff made me feel like absolute crap.... It made me crap a lot too. And since it contained ephedrine I kept hacking up mucus.
