I am on 20mg twice a day, but since I just started yesterday, I am taking it slow, so currently on 10mg twice a day.
I just found out from reading the bottle that my pharmacy substituted the BARR generic adderall.
Now, I have come across some brand name meds in the past from friends. And here are my questions regarding different symptoms.

I have a little bit of stomach pain with the generic, it seems to follow through my intestines with the pill, if that makes sense. Is this normal? It is bearable, but it would be nice to avoid this as it didn't happen with the brand name adderall.

It doesn't feel as potent as the brand name, is this normal as well?

The only good thing that I have noticed is that I don't feel as warm/hot as I did with the name brand stuff, but this could be because it's not working as strong, and if it was I would be feeling just as hot.

Thanks you guys!

There are soooo many posts on here comparing different brands of generics and the brand name as well, so you can probably find your answers if you did a search (not meaning to be rude).

Anyways, the general consensus seems to be that it is hard to tell which ones actually "work" better, but the Corepharma brand generic ones seem to be more potent and have a stronger "feel".

I have taken generic (both Corepharma and Barr) and the brand name. I can't say which one I like more, but I do agree that the Corepharma seems more potent, but it also has a stronger and more abrupt come-down after it wears off. Most grocery stores (such as Target, HEB, Wal-Mart) carry the Barr brand generics while drug stores (such as CVS, Walgreens) carry the Corepharma generics.

I believe that Barr Pharmaceuticals bought the rights to produce brand-name adderall, and then Teva Pharmaceuticals bought the rights to produce them from Barr (or something like that). On my bottle of "brand-name" adderall it says its produced by Barr pharmaceuticals, and on my bottle of generic Barr, it says its produced by Teva pharmaceuticals. Quite confusing, I just stick with the Corepharma.

P.S: The feeling hot/cold seems normal, but I rarely (if ever) hear of people complaining of stomach aches. Have you eaten? Not sure what to suggest on that one.
