Hey guys, I tried Strattera without much success, and now my doctor is moving me to Concerta. Which is Methylphenidate, the same thing as Ritalin. Now I am concerned about this, because apparently when I was a little kid I had pretty bad ADHD, and my parents tried a few things. They tried Ritalin, which apparently worked very well with my ADHD issues, but caused some pretty bad OCD, some of which appears to remain today, but not nearly as bad. I know a child's brain is different than an adult's brain, but should I expect another bout of bad OCD? I told my doctor that there were problems with Ritalin as a kid and exactly what happened, and he still prescribed Concerta. I will try it, but am a bit wary of OCD getting a lot worse. I don't actually remember trying Ritalin as a kid, and I probably should as it was like 3rd grade or something. My mom says my muscles basically locked up the OCD was so bad, not that I know exactly what that means. Thoughts, experiences you guys have related to this?
