Will this help me focus and clear up my foggy head? If so, how long will it take and will it last?

yes it improves mood and it inhibits the total reuptake process of dopamine which basically means that it leaves more dopamine in the synapse which aids in concentration. Basically if you take your stimulant early in the morning and then would dose wellbutrin say the xl version later in the day the idea is that you will get a longer benefit out of your medication while providing a baseline for longer coverage daily . This may take 7 days to maintain consistent blood plasma levels and you also get the antidepressant benefit in 4-8 weeks. Adding wellbutrin may help give you longer coverage and may help lowering your dosing of current stimulant medication as well. One drawback is that it does not play great with existing anxiety .

It didn't do anything for me as far as ADHD goes, unfortunately. Seems I'm the odd-man out though. How long have you been on WB?

Many many years ( guessing somewhere around 15 +yrs).

It stopped working once about 12yrs ago,so I went off of it.

I came back in about 18mos and it worked again.

About 6 1/2 yrs ago, my insurance company switched me to generic Buproprion.

For whatever reason, generic meds just don't work for me.

At any rate, I eventually went back on brand name Wellbutrin and it continues to work well.

It helped calm the racing thoughts on day 1 and my focus is quite improved. Impulsiveness is reduced. My depression is pretty much gone and my anxiety is way down. I'm on day 9.

My favorite time of day is the morning when I take my medicine. :)

I got absolutely no good or bad effects from wellbutrin when I took it even at 300 mg. It was like taking nothing. When I stopped and restarted I felt a bit loopy so I didn't touch it again after that.
