I'm now prescribed Concerta 18mg and have been prescribed Ritalin LA(20mg) before. I've taken 2 of it at once in the morning before and maybe felt a bit of anxiety, but it wore off in the afternoon. I feel that Concerta is not really working. The Ritalin LA I've been rxed before felt like a bit of help, but not much. I"m the inattentive type, maybe the methylphenidate family doesn't really help me?
I wonder how Wellbutrin compares to Concerta? I've read that it is amphetamine-lite(it technically works differently but maybe this description is saying that it feels like a lighter version of amphetamine). If so, maybe I should ask to switch to Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is a DNRI and I've read a study that both(it & Concerta) were effective in treating ADD but what about for inattentives? Have anyone tried both?
Adderall & Dexedrine isn't available where I live, my other options are Strattera and Wellbutrin. Since Strattera is a norephinedrine inhibitor only and I've had Effexor before and Effexor is a serotonin and norephinedrine inhibitor & I didn't feel much from that, I feel that maybe I should try my luck on Wellbutrin.
Thanks.
